The hotel was surprisingly clean and well maintained considering its age, and the breakfast was enjoyable. The staff at the 25th-floor restaurant were friendly and professional despite the large number of guests. I also appreciated the female staff member who kindly assisted with additional amenities during my stay.
Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk was disappointing. During check-in, I was told there was another guest with the same name, which resulted in a very long check-in process. I had to stand and wait for approximately 20 minutes while the staff repeatedly went back and forth to investigate the issue. There was little explanation or apology provided during this time.
What made the situation worse was the attitude of another male front desk employee. While the issue was being resolved, he smiled and asked me if I remembered which room I had stayed in. The comment came across as dismissive and sarcastic rather than helpful. I had only requested a room facing the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building when making my reservation, not a specific room number, so I found the response unnecessary and unprofessional.
This was my second stay at this hotel, which made the experience even more disappointing. The room, breakfast, and restaurant staff were all positive aspects of my stay, but the front desk staff's professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency need significant improvement.
フロントスタッフの接客態度と対応の迅速さについては改善が必要だと感じました。
